Let’s exhort ourselves today about the ability of God to do exceedingly above all that you can ask or think, in today’s devotional.
[Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV] “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that anyone of us can ask or think, but He is able to do according to His power at work in us. What is more important is not what you can ask or even think; what is important is how much and how effective His power at work in us is. If His power is at work and effectively at work in us, then the doing is not that difficult.
The simple keys to allow the power to operate in you are:
Ask God to work in you. Ask Him to give you the Holy Ghost.
Those who ask God are given the good gift of the Holy Ghost.
Cultivate a hunger and deep dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Those who know righteousness may desire and hunger for it; when you know what you are missing by being carnal; you will cultivate a deep hunger for the Holy Ghost.
Align your cravings and desires with the word of God:
Fix your affections on things above. Every desire that is contrary to that of the spirit, fights the spirit. The flesh wars against the spirit and what the spirit desires are contrary to fleshly desires.
Align with people of higher graces and similar purpose. Iron sharpens iron!
The baby in the womb of Elizabeth leaped for Joy when he heard the voice of Mary. Something in you gets stirred up when you fellowship with men of similar passions and callings. Nothing leaks anointing more than being in the wrong crowd.
Keep the morning watch; stay in His presence:
Stay in prayer and meditation daily. Jesus became anointed through prayer and fasting.
Exercise yourself unto godliness
Yield your memebers as instruments if righteousness:
When you are willing to service His righteous purpose, He gives you grace to do His good pleasure.
Stay blessed
