[Revelation 3:14-22 KJV] “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.“
One of the biggest challenges of today’s church is spiritual blindness, delusion, and deception. It is the most pathetic church; it is pathetic when you are wretched yet you think you are rich. There are many in the church who don’t even seem to perceive that there is a need to wake up. We settle for so low because we lack the exposure. Many of us are even oblivious to the fact that there is something more to life than what we are settle for.
Some of us settle for fools’ gold thinking we have something valuable. Listen, Jesus Christ could escape the temptation to bow to Lucifer for the glory of the world because He had seen the glory of God and the kingdom of heaven. He could reject New York because He had lived in a city with streets of gold full of mansions in one house. If you have one house with many mansions, you will not settle for all the diamonds of Botswana. He had seen a house with many mansions in a city with streets of gold. Your exposure to real glory will insulate you to temptations to bow for earthly glory.
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:2-3 KJV)
Many church girls settle for less in marriage because they have never witnessed a real Christian marriage. Many of us settle for so little at very high price, because we don’t even know what it looks like on the flip side.
Judas sold his Lord for 30 pieces of silver because he had not seen real wealth. He did not know what was reserved for him in glory if he made it there.
Let us pray that God will heal our blindness, delusion, and deception. May each of us wake up to reality! May we see beyond the carnal and earthly craving! Recieve fresh vision in the name of Jesus!
Stay blessed!
