Pray more in tongues even if you can’t interprete

I just want to discuss five reasons you should pray more in unknown tongues even if you can’t interprete.

[1 Corinthians 14:1‭-‬5 KJV] “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”

“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.“

Praying in unknown tongues is not the same as speaking with diver kinds of tongues

The unknown tongues is a tongue that is not formerly known. It is a new tongue that was given to you by the Holy Ghost. Call it a coded language that was gifted to you by God for special communication with Him, while divers tongues is simply many different tongues, not necessarily an unknown tongue. Fante is divers from Ewe, Swahili, Ga, Afrikaans, Dutch, English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, etc. These languages differ from each other but are not necessarily strange or new.

Praying in unknown tongues is for communicating with God, whereas speaking with divers tongues is for edifying the church.

He that prays in an unknown tongue does not speak to men, no man understands him but in the spirit he speaks mysteries to God.

Praying in an unknown tongue increases your prayer power; when you pray with understanding, you pray in the realm of knowledge but when you pray with an unknown tongue you zoom to the higher realm of mysteries and hidden things

You pray beyond the realm of nature and knowledge. When you pray with understanding, you are praying in the realm of knowledge but when you pray in unknown tongues, you pray beyond the realm of knowledge, you now zoom into the realm of mysteries and hidden things.

Praying in the spirit or unknown tongues helps you to keep both the devils and other humans from eavesdropping on your conversation with God.

The devil is not omniscient, hence eavesdropping on your conversation with God is important to him. Praying in tongues keeps him in the dark.

Praying in the spirit edifies you

He that prays in an unknown tongue edifies himself. You build up yourself. You become stronger.

God bless you and may His face shine upon you.

Stay blessed!
