[Luke 14:23 KJV] “And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.“
A congregation is a church unit under one shepherd or pastor. A congregation usually meets together to pray, fellowship, worship, study, and give toward the ministry and mission of the church. A congregation must be big enough to contain every new convert, but small enough to care for and edify herself.
The will of God is to see the congregation filled with souls. God wants His house to be full. He want every one of His houses to be full. This is the time to arise and follow the instructions of the Lord to go to the highways and hedges and preach the gospel. We must compel them to come. We must go somewhere and preach somewhere. This is the time to focus on praying, preaching, and caring for one another. This is the time.
Remember that;
- Growing the congregation is the will of God. God wants every congregation to grow in numbers.
- The numbers will command diversity in ministries and small groups, and we must be intentional about it.
- The numbers will empower us to do more for the kingdom in terms of outreach and kingdom advancement.
- The numbers will increase our influence amongst the nations, tongues and tribes.
- The numbers will increase the warmth in the church.
- The numbers will help to keep each person humble.
- The numbers will give us an edge and social influence.
- The numbers will boost our confidence
- The numbers will increase our visibility
- The numbers will command authority, dominion, and fear
Stay blessed
