[John 12:26 KJV] “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.“
I want to exhort you on the secrets to discover honour while serving God. If any man wants to serve, then that man must learn to follow. That is the truth, you cannot serve well until you learn to follow well. If you are really serious about serving Jesus Christ, then this is the time to start following Jesus.
I must also say that serving the Lord will never be in vain. The Bible teaches that “if any man serve Jesus, our Father will honour him”.
This is the secret to making of men of stature in the kingdom. The most authentic way to make men is to get ordinary men to commit to following Jesus! When ordinary men of faith follow Jesus, they are transformed and made into men of stature. The grace to becoming a man or woman of stature is released through “followership”.
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19 KJV)
Bear in mind also, that when we seek God with all of our hearts, we will find Him. God is not far from each of us. He is close and near to us. I pray for grace for you to find Him.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 KJV)
Let the dead bury their dead; you cannot entangle yourself with civilian affairs
“But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.” (Matthew 8:22 KJV)
Deny yourself and take up your cross daily
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me”. (Luke 9:23 KJV)
Mind your own business
“Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me”. (John 21:22 KJV)
Love not the present world; if you fall in love with the present world you cannot serve Him.
“Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: for Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry”. (2 Timothy 4:9-11 KJV)
Beat your body under; the flesh is a beast!
“but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV)
