[1 Chronicles 4:9-10 KJV] “And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.“
We need to pray for a turnaround when our outcomes don’t much our input. Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, but he was struggling in life. He was not rising and making it as much as he expected. He then entered into prayer and began to pray earnestly for a breakthrough. We want to arise and pray earnestly to see a turn around.
1. Let us pray that God will bless and enlarge our coast
Jabez was not pretending, he earnestly desired the blessing of the Lord and an enlargement. He was not joking about making it. He was really serious about it.
2. Let us pray that the hand of the Lord will be with us, that he shall keep us from evil and it shall not grieve us!
May the Lord deliver you from evil and may it not grieve you. May He sustain you and lead you not into temptation! May you know the providence and protection of the Lord!
3. Pray that the Lord shall both open great and effectual doors; and rebuke every adversary for your sake
We decree that the Lord shall rebuke every adversary in the name of Jesus Christ! May He open unto us great and effectual doors. May God grant you greater access to a glorious life in Jesus name!
Stay blessed!
