[Deuteronomy 29:29] “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law”
This verse teaches us that there are some things that God has chosen to keep secret from us. These are the “secret things” that belong to Him alone. We may not understand why God keeps these things secret, but we can trust that He has His reasons.
However, there are also things that God has revealed to us. These are the “things revealed” that belong to us and to our children forever. These are the things that we need to know in order to live our lives according to God’s will.
So, what are some of the things that God has revealed to us?
- He has revealed His love for us.
- He has revealed His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
- He has revealed His commandments for how we should live our lives.
- He has revealed His promises to those who follow Him.
These are just a few of the things that God has revealed to us. There are many more that we can learn about by studying the Bible and by seeking God’s guidance in our lives.
The things that God has revealed to us are not meant to be kept secret. They are meant to be shared with others so that they too can know and follow God. We should be eager to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others and to teach them about God’s commandments and promises.
As we seek to know and follow God, we can trust that He will reveal to us what we need to know. We should not be afraid to ask Him questions and to seek His guidance. He is always willing to answer our prayers and to help us understand His will.
Let us be grateful for the things that God has revealed to us. Let us share these things with others so that they too can know and serve Him.
Remember however it is not important to seek knowledge outside what is revealed. That could be a dangerous trap; but be open to what God chooses to reveal. Seek Him daily and trust that He will guide you.
