Meaningful relationships are built on
- Clear purpose and boundaries; meaningful relationships for kingdom advancement are built round clear purpose and boundaries. We must both know why we are together and where it is leading. We must agree on what is permitted and what is not allowed. A clear purpose and boundaries are important ingredients of building meaningful relationships.
- Faith (Trust); building meaningful relationships for kingdom advancement must have a foundation of keeping faith. We must be willing to keep faith with each other. This will require honesty and transparency.
- Understanding that stems from mutual compromise and sacrifice: the parties in any relationship must be willing to sacrifice and compromise for each other. We can not always get our pound of flesh. There are time when you sacrifice and at other times I do.
- Communication: speaking with easily understood language; saying just the most important to carry across your point; and speaking from doctrine, revelation, prophecy, knowledge…
- Freedom to decide and to choose. Even the Lord allows us to be free agents. You have a right to choose and decided but not to abuse that liberty. This liberty is not an occassion for lasciviousness.
