1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV — “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.“
The work of the Lord is filled with many challenges, and there would always be reasons why you will feel like you can’t do it anymore. We have all been there several times; even our Lord Jesus Christ came to that junction.
Matthew 26:37-39 KJV — “And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. [38] Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. [39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
The men of Judah who were building with Nehemiah came to that junction.
Nehemiah 4:9-11 KJV — “Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them. [10] And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall. [11] And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.“
Sanaballat and Tobiah conspired against them but what was Nehemiah’s response? They lifted prayer.
As ministers and missionaries, we go through so much so many times; and I believe that you can overcome when you recline on God. This is a short exhortation to help you stand.
2 Corinthians 11:23-31 KJV — “Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. [24] Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. [25] Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;”
[26] “in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; [27] in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.”
[28] “Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. [29] Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? [30] If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. [31] The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.“
Stay blessed
