Isaiah 28:9-10 KJV — “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:“
[12] “To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. [13] But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.“
If you really want to see the benefits of winning by your faith, it must be a daily walk; if it will work. I believe in major leaps but more than that I want to take little consistent steps that align with my goals and values.
The life goal is to hear the Lord say to me a good and faithful servant at the end of my life. Every decision and choice I make must help me to be able to be a good and faithful servant of Christ. It is better to take little steps of faith towards goals than to wait for a big leap. The Lord leads and He leads us step by step, a little here and a little there. He leads us with grace and not in quantum.
If you really want to get there and celebrate victory;
- Read your Bible and pray every day: You need a compass for life, you can find direction when you read His word daily. You can do better when you hear His voice daily. This is the way to go.
- Fellowship and witness everyday; Maintain communication with people who call upon God out of a pure heart. Many people are in church today because of what material things they can get out of the church; when in actual fact, we should go to church seeking to be fed with spiritual things. Our focus as Christians is to share our material things with the pastor who feeds us with spiritual things. You will do well when you share your faith and witness everyday. Share the gospel with everyone that you meet and see the blessing that will flow.
- Honour and serve your pastor everyday: The Bible teaches us to remember and esteem those who admonish and teach us the word highly in love. The pastor’s work is challenging and loving your pastor is the least you can do. Most often than not, we don’t treat our pastors well and that gives the devil access to harass us.
May the Lord give you grace to make consistent progress. You will be blessed!
