John 5:39 KJV — “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me“
If you really want to win souls and turn many to Christ, first turn them to the scriptures. When you get men to believe and be fully persuaded of the veracity of the scriptures, you turn them into stable and honourable believers.
Luke 1:1-4 KJV — “Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, [2] even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; [3] it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, [4] that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.“
If we are really serious about turning men into faithful believers, we must guide them into the scriptures. When a man reads and believes the scriptures, he becomes stable in his faith because God can not lie.
When you meet anyone who questions the scriptures, you are looking at a person, who is losing faith. The scriptures testify about Christ. They talk about Him.
May the Lord restore our faith in the scriptures. May we begin to study the word religiously and faithfully. May the Holy Spirit guide our hearts to understand the scriptures. May you not be confused about the word being inspired.
2 Timothy 3:14-17 KJV — “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; [15] and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.“
The scriptures is the wisdom that leads to salvation which is of faith. You must know the scriptures if you want wisdom that leads to salvation.
