Acts 2:1-6 KJV — And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
[5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. [6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
The revival we need is the revival of the presence of the Holy Spirit among us. The church and the various cities must experience the active presence of God with His people. This is the revival we need; a message that is backed by proofs. The acts of the Apostle were written to show how God confirmed their messages, with signs following. We need the same revival; we are hungry for the same move of God, when we can literally feel the active working of God among us.
We have a part to play in initiating the revival we need. We can’t create the revival but we can move heaven to. We can always pull the trigger that brings about the revival we need. When we are ready, God is ready. The God of Elijah is waiting for Elisha to call upon Him in desperation. The revival we need will be birthed through the following;
Knowledge and faith that inspires gatherings, praying, and waiting
When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were together in the upper room. They were together in one place praying and waiting and studying.
Yielding to the move of the spirit, through understanding
Peter was not confused about what was happening, neither was any of the eleven. Without understanding and faith yielding, is a bit difficult.
Noising abroad what God is doing among us
We must use every medium and means possible to publicise and noise abroad what God is doing among us. We can use social media, chat apps, street broadcast, television, radio, tracts, books, crusades. A church that shares the link, is the church that grows with impetus.
This is the time to gather together and start praying strongly. We are the carriers of fire and the people that can ignite the fire. May God sound an alarm and gather the people! May Jehovah stir up this nation to gather in prayer for the revival of faith and miracles.
