Hebrews 10:25 KJV — not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I think we should stop calling church meetings as church service. The times have changed and we cannot keep calling coming to Church to be served as you serving God. Coming to church meetings or fellowship meetings is for your own benefit.
We come to church for five main reasons;
- To be refreshed and rejuvenated for the journey ahead
- Hear announcements and to know the next line of action to take
- Give our offering and tithes for the kingdom advancement
- Be instructed and empowered
- Fellowship with others who believe in the same things in order to be strengthened and lifted.
I believe you should come to church on Sunday and maybe one other day and spend the rest of the time working to make ends meet and also as a witness to turn many for Christ.
Whether you work as a lawyer, teacher, nurse, doctor, banker, farmer, hunter, or politician; you are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Let everything you do reveal who Christ is to the world. Do all you do with the intention of making Christ known.
Many people may never have the opportunity to meet Christ in person but you are the ambassador and witness commissioned to manifest His glory and likeness.
Stay blessed
