Genesis 4:25 KJV – And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Losing is painful and challenging but not an end of the story. God is able to appoint you another seed. Don’t let the pain of losing, disorient and drown you. Lift up your head and press forward.
If you have been around for just a little longer, you will know that we all lose things. It’s however important not to allow your losses to drown you. While you grieve your losses, always remember that God is able to replace whatever you lost if you are willing and ready to press on. The story of Seth teaches this truth.
The story of the first family that God created, we understand that Adam lost Abel through the greed and selfish interest of Cain but God gave him a replacement because he was willing to press on.
Sometimes, we lose things through
- Our own mistakes and foolish choices but there are other times when we lose through
- The choices of others and events we have no control over, but I see your replacement coming.
I see that your Seth is born. God will replace all that you have lost in a way that will make you forget your sorrows. Sometimes, it’s easier for God to bring a replacement than a restoration. Seth was born in the stead of Abel who was killed by his brother. This is exactly what God is about to do for somebody today. You are about to experience a replacement. God is about to do a new thing in your life. Your Seth shall be born! Keep pressing! Keep working! Keep moving forward by grace!
