Jeremiah 29:7 KJV — And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
We understand that one of the key factors that can affect your seed is the environment within which it is planted. The city you dwell in, is the environmental context with which you operate; and can affect the growth and yield of your city. We are therefore exhorting ourselves to pray for the city where we dwell. The Lord told Israel to seek the peace of Babylon, where they were carried captives.
I am exhorting you this morning to pray for the city where you dwell. It is our Christian obligation and responsibility. We are called to seek the peace of the city. Let us arise and pray for the city. Let us seek the peace of the city and preserve it. May the city favour your endeavors! May you make an impact around the world from that city!
I command the force, the territorial powers in your city to be subdued and controlled! May you subdue the forces that rule in the locality! May you break out and take charge everywhere! It’s our year and our season! Command the year to favour you and bring you to the place where you walk on the red carpet. You are blessed and can not be cursed.

- Let’s pray for the city where we dwell! Let us pray and subdue the powers of darkness that rule in that city. Oh God subdue demonic spirits that holds this city bound. Give us this city as you handed over Samaria to Philip by signs and wonders.
- Pray for the HighCity Church! Pray that God will anoint his servants, that by their hands, signs and wonders shall be performed! Pray that God will send labourers into the mission and vineyard! Pray that the Lord will build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail!
- Pray for your father’s house and your mother’s! Pray that God shall open the womb of anybody in your father’s and mother’s house who seeks the fruit of the womb! Pray that God will heal every one in your family and among your friends who desire healing! Pray that the Lord will seek and save as many as are yet to believe among your family and friends!
- Pray that God will be your helper all year round! Pray that the Lord will establish you! May the year be good to you! May you possess the good things of the year! May you see goodness all year round! May the Lord settle you financially, in marriage, in health, and in peace!
