2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV — Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Marriage works better when the couple can equally be yoked. The stress and pain increase when there is an unequal yoke between two people. Being made compatible is so important and you should never play down on it.
After the butterflies, dating, and the ceremony the following realities set in;
- Money, finance, and expenditure
- Interpersonal relationship: living with a real person.
- Managing the home
- Growing together, becoming compatible, and skills to make a long term relationship work
- Third party involvement
- Sex and romance
- Expression of religion and faith
It will take more than chemistry and butterflies to make a marriage work. It’s important to discuss the tough questions and get clear on that.
Stay blessed!
