Psalm 119:162 KJV — I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.
When you know the value of the word of God in your life, you will rejoice when you find it. The word of God is more precious than rubies and gold. Rhema is more valuable than the spoil gotten from winning a great battle. Those who find the word rejoice as one who found great spoil. Let us discuss just four benefits and works the word of God does in our lives. The word of God fulfills four main purposes in our lives. The word of God comes to:
- Enlighten us: The word of God is sharp to give the simple understanding. It enlightens and teaches us to move forward by grace.
- Direct us: His word is a lamp to our feet. The word directs and guides. His word that is coming to us will instruct, rebuke and exhort us. His word doesn’t just direct but also the word of God
- Empower us: In Ezekiel 2:1-3, he stated that as he spoke with me, his Spirit entered into me. You receive an impartation and empowerment as you soak in the atmosphere of the word. The word of God is powerful and impactful.
- Heals us: The word of God heals your body. The Bible teaches in Proverbs 4:32, that the word of God is healing to the navel of those who find it. The word he sends heals those who call upon Him when their souls are drawn to the gates of death.
