John 16:7 KJV — Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
As you get ready for fellowship and to go to church today, I want you to get ready to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; according to apostle Peter’s account in Acts 5:1-4, the Holy Spirit is not a man but God! Our Lord Jesus teaches that the Holy Spirit is another comforter of the same kind. He is the great helper sent to help the heirs of salvation.
He is the great helper and comforter sent to dwell with the believer, in the believer and in the world. He is the promise of the Father that every one who believes now or after, here or there will receive. The promise is to everyone that shall believe, even those the Lord is yet to call. [Acts 2:37-40]
I will encourage you to receive the Holy Spirit because
- He is the spirit of truth. He will lead us to all truth. He will guide us through the different terrains of life.
- He will judge the world of sin and the church of righteousness. He will help us to know the right way to go and the right things to do.
- He will show us the things that ain’t yet revealed. The Holy Spirit is the most important person every believer needs to know. He is the spirit of truth and the greater help we need!
I pray that you will receive the Holy Spirit and receive power. May He come as the mighty rashing wind to empower His church. He is the person we need in this hour! We need Him more than anytime in the history of man. He is the great comforter sent by God!
