Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV) — “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by culture, geography, or language. It is a universal message of salvation for all nations, tribes, and tongues. When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He stretched the vision of His disciples beyond their local community into the whole world. Today, every believer shares in this mandate to see the nations reached with the good news of Christ.
- The Great Commission is backed by heaven’s authority, for Jesus declared that all power in heaven and earth has been given unto Him.
- The mandate is to go, teach, baptize, and disciple—a complete mission that wins the lost, grounds them in the faith, and trains them to obey Christ.
- The assignment is global, reaching every tribe and tongue, because the gospel is not reserved for a few but offered to all.
- Fear must not hold us back, for Jesus has promised, “Lo, I am with you always,” giving us courage and strength to obey.
The gospel is not for us to keep to ourselves. Start by sharing it within your family, community, and workplace. Support missions through prayer, giving, or going. Remember, someone in another culture or language is waiting to hear the good news through you.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, thank You that the gospel is for every nation, tribe, and tongue.
- Give me boldness to share Your Word beyond my comfort zone.
- Open doors for the gospel to reach unreached people groups.
- Keep me faithful to the Great Commission until the end.
