Genesis 15:1–2 (KJV) — “After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?”
Abram stood before God with an honest concern: “Lord, what wilt Thou give me, seeing I go childless…?” His reality did not match God’s promise – yet heaven answered with assurance: “Fear not… I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”
Beloved, this is God’s word to you today. You may be looking at your life and seeing gaps – no child yet, no stable job yet, no financial rest yet, no visible evidence of what God promised. But God’s answer to Abram is His answer to you: Fear not! I am your shield. I am your reward. I am your source. I am your guarantee.
The God who lifted Abram from “childless” to “father of nations,” from wandering to wealth, from waiting to possessing – that same God is still faithful.
You shall not end your journey empty. You shall not finish your life barren. You shall not come to the end of the year jobless, stranded, or pennyless. Your story is changing because your God is still your shield – protecting you from delay, shame, and spiritual resistance – and your exceeding great reward, supplying what your hands cannot produce by themselves.
Lift your eyes from what is missing, and fix them on the God who cannot fail. Your season of tangible, undeniable, irreversible evidence has come.
Prayer Points
- Father, I declare that You are my shield and my exceeding great reward. My faith is in You alone, and I know You will perfect all that concerns my children, my job, my finances, and my destiny.
- O Lord, as I lift my requests before You today, I receive divine answers. Let every expectation – concerning fruitfulness, employment, provision, stability, and breakthrough – manifest speedily in the name of Jesus.
- In the mighty name of Jesus, I come against every demonic power, delay, resistance, or evil voice fighting my answers. I command every spiritual barrier to scatter. My miracles shall not be diverted, delayed, or stolen!
- I command my atmosphere to align with the will of God. Let the heavens over me be open. Let the earth yield her increase. Let opportunities, helpers, resources, and favour rise for me. Everything around me shall work for my lifting in Jesus’ name!
