“Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” — Zechariah 10:1 (KJV)
Every true revival is like rain from heaven – refreshing dry hearts, restoring fruitfulness, and awakening life where there was barrenness.
When we pray for rain, we are asking for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church, our cities, and our nation.
God is ready to send His rain again, but He waits for a people who will ask earnestly. Let us lift our voices in faith and pray for a mighty downpour of His Spirit!
- Ask the Lord to open the heavens and pour out the rain of His Spirit upon His Church and upon every thirsty heart until we are soaked with His presence and power. (See Joel 2:23, 28–29)
- Pray that every form of spiritual drought, dryness, and weariness will give way to refreshing and renewal by the living water of the Holy Ghost. (See Isaiah 44:3; John 7:37–39)
- Declare that as the rain falls, there shall be a harvest of souls, restoration of joy, and supernatural fruitfulness in families, ministries, and communities. (See Psalm 72:6–7; Amos 9:13)
- Ask God to send bright clouds of revival over our land, and raise intercessors who will continue to cry for rain until righteousness covers the earth. (See 1 Kings 18:41–45; Hosea 10:12)
As we pray in faith, let us rejoice, for the clouds are gathering and the sound of abundant rain is in the air – our God will visit us again! (See 1 Kings 18:44)
