“Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them… Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” — Matthew 28:16, 19–20 (KJV)
Exhortation:
This passage reminds us that the Great Commission was given to ordinary people who first chose obedience by going where Jesus appointed them. From that place of surrender, they received a global mandate – to go, teach, baptize, and disciple.
The command is inseparable from the promise: Christ’s abiding presence “alway.” We are not sent alone, nor are we expected to rely on our own strength.
As believers today, this call extends to our daily lives, urging us to faithfully represent Christ in word and action, trusting that His authority empowers our obedience and His presence sustains us until the end.
Prayer Points:
- Father, I thank You for the gift of salvation and for counting me worthy to be part of Your divine mission. Thank You for the constant assurance of Your presence with me always.
- Lord, empower me by Your Holy Spirit to boldly live out and share the gospel. Grant me wisdom, compassion, and obedience to teach and model all that You have commanded.
- In the name of Jesus, I break every barrier of fear, doubt, disobedience, and distraction that resists the fulfillment of Your calling in my life. Let nothing hinder the manifestation of answered prayers and fruitful service.
Amen
