Exodus 12:13 (KJV) — “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
On the night of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, God instructed every household to place the blood of a lamb on their doorposts. That blood was not a decoration; it was a divine sign—a covenant mark. Wherever the blood was seen, judgment could not enter. The plague respected the blood. It was proof that a price had been paid.
Today, we live under a greater covenant sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Just as the blood on the doors in Egypt separated Israel from destruction, the blood of Jesus separates believers from condemnation, demonic attacks, and spiritual death.
The enemy does not respond to noise, titles, or religious activity, but he recognizes the blood. When God sees the blood, mercy speaks. When the blood is applied by faith, protection is released.
Declare boldly: “The blood is a token upon my house!” Let your family, destiny, health, and future be covered by the blood of Jesus.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the precious blood of Jesus that was shed for me. By faith, I apply the blood over my life, my family, and everything that concerns me. Let every form of destruction, sickness, and evil pass over my house. As You see the blood, let mercy, protection, and divine covering speak for me. In Jesus’ mighty name!
Amen.
