John 3:14–15 (KJV) — “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
In the wilderness, when Israel was bitten by deadly serpents, God did not ask them to fight the snakes or heal themselves. He instructed Moses to lift up a bronze serpent, and all who looked at it in faith lived.
Jesus uses this powerful picture to reveal His redemptive mission. Just as the serpent was lifted up, Christ was lifted up on the cross, bearing sin, sickness, shame, and death for all humanity. The miracle was not in the bronze serpent itself, but in obedient faith expressed through a simple look.
Today, the call remains the same: stop struggling, stop striving, and look to Jesus. Whoever believes in Him, regardless of background, weakness, or past failure, receives life. Healing, salvation, and eternal hope flow from fixing our eyes on the lifted Savior.
Prophetic Declaration:
As I look to Jesus, the lifted Son of Man, I receive life and not death. By faith, I escape destruction and walk in eternal life. Every poison of sin, fear, and affliction loses its power over me. I look, and I live, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
