Acts 3:6–8 (KJV) — “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk… and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength… and he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”
Many years ago, there was a man who sat at the Beautiful Gate every day, watching people pass by, some rich, some religious, some too busy to notice him. His expectation was simple: a coin to survive another day.
When Peter stopped, the man probably thought, “Here comes another small donation.” But what Peter gave him was far greater than what he asked for. It was not silver. It was not gold. It was power.
Peter’s words reveal a powerful truth: everyone has something to give. He said, “Silver and gold have I none,” but he did not stop there.
Many people focus on what they lack and disqualify themselves from being a blessing. Peter acknowledged what he didn’t have, but he confidently released what he did have, the name and authority of Jesus Christ.
The miracle did not come from money but from obedience, faith, and compassion. Peter gave time, attention, faith, and action. He stretched out his hand, lifted the man up, and partnered with God for a supernatural turnaround. What the lame man needed was not temporary relief, but total restoration—and that came through what Peter carried.
Your gift may not always be material. It could be prayer, encouragement, wisdom, faith, skill, love, or simply showing up. What you carry in Christ has the power to lift others from the ground into praise.
Call to Action
Stop disqualifying yourself by comparing what you have with what others have. Ask yourself, “What has God placed in my hands?” Use your voice to speak life. Use your faith to lift someone up. Use your testimony to give hope. Use your gifts to point people to Jesus.
Today, decide to give what you have—because when you release what is in you, God will use it to cause others to rise, walk, leap, and praise Him.
