Genesis 9:1 (KJV) – “And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”
After the flood, when the earth was empty and uncertain, God did not begin with instructions, He began with a blessing. He blessed Genesis 9:1 shows us that before there was performance, there was empowerment. But notice this: the blessing was followed by a command – “Be fruitful… multiply… replenish.”
The blessing was not a pillow; it was power.
Many people are blessed but still live as if they are cursed. Why? Because they did nothing with the blessing. When God blessed Noah and his sons, He was not giving them permission to relax, He was releasing capacity. The blessing was an empowerment to be.
- Be fruitful: Produce results.
- Multiply: Expand what is in your hands.
- Replenish: Take responsibility for your generation.
The blessing is not an excuse to sleep; it is energy to rise. The blessing does not remove effort; it makes effort effective.
The blessing is not magic; it is divine backing for action. Many blessed people are poor because they refused to be. They were blessed, but they did not arise. They were empowered, but they did not move.
When God blesses you and your children, He is saying: “I have placed capacity inside you. Now step into it.”
Action
Today, refuse passive Christianity. Arise and be what God has declared over you. Be fruitful in your work. Multiply your gifts. Replenish your family and community with impact.
Declare: “I am blessed, and I will act like it. The blessing on my life empowers me to produce, expand, and dominate.”
God is blessing you and your children, but you must arise and be.
