Luke 19:13 (KJV) — “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.“
In this parable, our Lord Jesus reminds us that though He has gone to receive His kingdom, He will surely return again. Until that day, believers are called to “occupy”, to be productive, responsible, and impactful with the gifts and opportunities He has given us. This includes the marketplace of life.
The Christian must strive for excellence in career, business, and industry, using wisdom, diligence, and integrity to make a difference in society while advancing the kingdom of God.
Therefore, let every believer keep the charge by serving God faithfully in both church and marketplace. Work diligently, grow in your profession, create value, and let your success become a platform to advance God’s work.
At the same time, remember that supporting the weak and helping those in need is a clear New Testament doctrine. Use your strength, resources, and influence to uplift others as you faithfully occupy until the Lord returns.
Stay blessed!
