[Hebrews 13:10 KJV] “We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
We want to study how to activate the altar of grace against wickedness.
Wickedness is when people want to reap where they have not sown; it is when people are determined to do things they know will hurt others, yet they are determined to do it anyway just to hurt others. Wickedness is when you withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your capacity to do that good work. Also, wickedness is when you refuse to maintain the land, the hand, or the forest that fed you in times of difficulties because you now have abundance. Lastly, wickedness is biting the hand that fed you.
We have an altar that unleashes lightning, thundering, voices, earthquakes, and hails against wickedness perpetrated with impunity. So, an altar is a place of sacrifice, worship; men bring gifts, fire, and invoke the power of a deity.
Today, we want to study how to invoke this power of our God against every wickedness. Now, every altar has protocols it accepts and answers to. These protocols must be observed to give the altar and worshippers the power it can release.
Six of the important protocols to activate the altar of grace against wickedness are:
1. Forgiveness and pursuing peace with all men:
Our altar does not accept sacrifices and gifts from people who bear grudge, are unforgiving, and divisive (See Matthew 5:34). God wants us to pursue peace with all men as long as it is in our power to do so.
2. Spirit and truth:
Our God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Our altar detests pretence, hypocrisy, malice, and guile. Those who come to this altar to worship must worship in spirit and truth. We must be honest and real.
3. Faith:
Our altar detests strange fire. All you bring to the altar is your sacrifice and gift. When we bring our sacrifice and gift, the God of the altar sends fire to consume it. Our altar answers to faith, and answers with fire.
4. Praise:
Hebrews 13:15 teaches that our altar responds to praise, thanksgiving, and gratitude. When we worship at the altar, the God of the altar responds. Praise is the fruit of the lips. God is pleased with such sacrifices.
5. Giving:
Hebrew 13:16 teaches that the food on the altar cannot be eaten. We must, therefore, learn to do good and communicate with our pastors. We must learn to do charity and to give prophetic offerings.
6. Prayer:
This is the sixth protocol you must observe. Our altar answers to effectual fervent prayers. (See Revelation 8:1-5). When the church prays, fire falls, lightning, thunder, voices, earthquakes, and hails follow.
I pray that the altar of grace shall answer to your payer and send fire, lightning, thunder, earthquakes, voices, and hail against every wickedness perpetrated against your progress and that of the church, amen!
Be blessed, I love you!
