[Matthew 21:28-32 KJV]“But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.”
“And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.”
“For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.”
Anytime I read the Acts of the Apostles, I get fascinated and I wish that I was alive in those days to have been part of that drama; until one day when the Holy Spirit told me that “the Acts of the Apostles was written because the apostles acted.
The Lord stirred up my heart to understand that whatever He did with those men in those days He can do the same with us if we are willing to do what they did. He is the same God, yesterday, today, and forever!
Whatever He did before, he can do now! Whatever He did in the past, He can do now! God is willing and ready to do greater things with our lives if we are willing and ready to yield in a greater way. We are in the glory days of the church.
We are in the days of the revealed glory. We are in the days of the manifest glory of God. These are the glorious days of the church and it is time to arise and take our portion of what God is releasing. This is the time to arise as a people! This is the time to act both scripted and unscripted.
God is calling each of us but He is calling everyone too:
The man had two sons and called all of them to act in His vineyard. The field is the field, we are his garden but the world is the field. Where ever you are or work, you are God’s agent sent to manifest the glory of God. You are a steward, sent to make an impact!
When you stand in the classroom, remember God sent you there for a purpose. When you sit in that office, you are God’s agent. When you work in that field or on that site; remember you may be the only Christian many of those guys with you may encounter!
Listen! It does not matter what your initial response was; decide or repent and get to the field to work:
Get up and get to work. This is the time and the moment of glory. Let us get up and start working. We must leave a legacy for the generations coming. This is the time to lay the foundation for many generations to come. There is a baton in your hands to be handed over to the next generation; but before you hand over, you must run your race. Let your life count and matter!
We must be ready to purpose, pray, plan, and PUSH!;
This is our time, the stories we read today were written because some acted yesterday; the story to be read tomorrow is the one we are writing today! What is the story? What is the plot?
Will there ever be people to plan and organise the red carpet when we are grown and gone. This is the time to act and script a story to be read when we are gone. I came to exhort you to arise and do something before time is far spent. This is the time to go to the nations of the world to preach the gospel.
It starts with intercession, planning, organising, and acting. If all we can do is pray, let us arise to pray; if we can plan, let us plan; if we can organise, let’s organise; let us arise and do something. We do have forever! Let us do what we can do now! This is all it takes, a decision!
We read about the lame man who was healed at the Beautiful Gate because Peter acted. We read about the mighty works and miracles because men and women like us trusted the mighty God and acted. We can achieve so much if we decide to act by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is right here to help us! We are the people and we must act.
Nothing should stop us, let’s pray for greater power to act as God would have us!
Stay blessed
