The ultimate aim of planting fruit bearing trees is that they would bear fruits for the benefit of those who till that ground. In that same way, we all desire that our lives would be fruitful, that we would succeed in life.

In today’s devotional, the Spirit of the Lord is teaching us the simple but authentic way to succeed in life, to bear fruits, and to increase without losing your faith, in our everyday life. Many people lose their lives and faith in the course of pursuing success. In trying to gain lives, they lose their lives.

There is however a simple secret to living your life fruitful, a simple secret to effective living. The scripture teaches us that this simple secret to a fulfilling life, fruitfulness and success is to abide in Christ and letting His word abide in you. The Lord said that “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”.

We will be fruitful, successful, and established if we recognise and admit that we are offshoots or branches of the true vine. We do not have roots if our own. Our lives depend on the vine. We can only bear fruits when we depend on the vine.

May the Lord help us to recognise and admit that our lives depend on Him. May you be fed and graced to bear fruits. Remember our ability to do anything, even the simplest tasks in life depends on Jesus Christ. He is our life. In fact, He must live His life through us. We will be fruitful as far as we are able to incline all our weight on Him.

You don’t need to fret nor sweat anymore. Just depends on the Lord and He will supply all that you need for life and godliness (See 2 Peter 1:3). You shall not fail while depending on the Lord. We will be fruitful, successful and established because we abide in Him. Amen!

Beloved, don’t let anybody deceive you. It’s the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and adds no sorrows to you (See Proverbs 10:22). The grass always looks green on the other side but don’t let the mirage of life cause you to chase after the wind. The Lord is able to make all grace abound to you.

When sinners entice you, don’t run off with them. Stay and continue, you shall bear fruits in your season, you shall not fear for drought. In His time, you shall bear fruits in every area of your life. Follow the Lord and He will establish you in the land.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, 

Today, I commit myself to depend totally and stay completely in Your son Jesus Christ. Help me to continue in Him. Deliver me from the temptation of stepping outside Him to find my own pastures and pleasure, Amen!
