Beware of Jezebel!

I want to exhort you today to beware of Jezebel.

[Revelation 2:20 KJV] “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”

Jezebel is an evil spirit that operates in the church that drifts away from the truth, the operations of the Holy Spirit, and holds the person of people in repute.

When the spirit of Jezebel gains access to the pulpit, she tries to usurp authority and control the minds and appetite of the church’s workforce. This evil spirit tries to teach and seduce the key personnel of the church to fornicate and dine with demons. Jezebel mainly tries to project sexual sins, covetousness, and idolatry.

The main mission of Jezebel is to teach and project that there is no need to deny yourself any pleasure. Jezebel teaches that you must go for it if you want it, as long as you can afford it. Jezebel mocks those who stay away from consuming their pleasure. Jezebel is an evil spirit that catalyses indulgence and false liberty.

The following are simple secrets to tame and cast out Jezebel;

1. Sanctification:

We need a workforce and personnel that are committed to sanctification. Until we fear God enough to hate sin, Jezebel will have a field day in our lives. The modus operandi of Jezebel is to get leadership to commit themselves and then they begin to control things. Jezebel is a subtle spirit.

2. Strong and hard leadership:

We need a leader who is strong enough to rebuke sin and silly indulgences. Jezebel is a subtle spirit and we must deal with her robustly. We must not allow heresy to continue for even a single day.

3.Allowing the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures to be central to worship:

There is no other way to deal with falsehood than to boldly publish the truth. When people know the truth and can identify genuine things, they will not fall for fakes. Show the spirit and the truth.

4. Proving all men and women before allowing them to teach:

The Bible teaches that a deacon must be proven first and be found faithful. It is an error to accept prophets you don’t know, but better still all prophecies must be judged by those who hear it.
