Beyond your purpose and passion, everyone of us who wants to succeed needs a model, plan, sponsor, mentor, and power.
Model
Most often than not you need a working model. A model is usually a fundamental form, a prototype that works. For instance in church planting, there are many models: the octopus church, the mega church, the denominational church, the affiliate churches, the convention systems etc. There are many working models but you must know what God is calling you to build. Some models are more suited for your grace and gifts than others. Yes I need a model.
If you want to do business, you must be able to understand which models work for certain businesses. You need a model.
A plan
When you have the model, you now begin to develop little attainable steps that will bring you towards the set goal. You must have a plan. You must know how to arrive at the goal.
Sponsor
You need someone who can introduce you to a room, you couldn’t go by yourself. You need a John the Baptist who can introduce you to the world; you need a butler who can mention you to the Pharaoh; you need a sponsor. Many things happen by referrals lately. There are many realms you will enter when you find the right connection to the right rooms.
Mentor
The fourth things is someone who can show you how it is done. These are people who have walked the path you seek to tread. A mentor is a person with experience in a job who supports and advises someone with less experience to help them develop in their work. Your mentor must have similar results as you seek.
Power
Whether we admit or not, each of us would have to run his own journey. You need power to drive the journey. You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
May the Lord help you and sustain your faith! May you not faint on the journey! Stand firm and run the race of life!
