James 1:19-26 KJV — “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: [20] for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. [21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.“
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. [26] If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
Every godly supernatural encounter awakens grace and leaves a deposit of faith. Remember that just as godly encounters awakens grace and leaves a deposit of faith, ungodly encounters incite fear and leave a deposit of doubt. Be careful who you open your heart and life to.
I learnt that in the next five years, my life will not be different except for the information I access, the company I keep and the choices I make. Your knowledge, your network, and choices are so important in the outcome of your life.
Remember, wisdom is the principal thing! In all thy getting, get wisdom, get understanding [See Pro 7:6]. Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of the times [See Isaiah 33:6].
If there are any three persons you must avoid to be blessed, it is the scorner, the ungodly, and the wicked [See Psalm 1:1-3].
The most important choice you can make that will change every other thing for you, is the choice of who to serve. Joshua said “choose you this day whom you will serve! [See Joshua 24:14-16]
Remember, the information you access, the company you keep, and the choices you make will determine everything else.
