This scripture follows the dialogue between Jesus Christ and His disciples, our apostles, after they struggled to cast out a devil. Being smart men, they did a postmortem of their failure and uncovered one of the timeless keys to success;

Prayer and fasting is God’s master key to breakthrough all odds and demonic stronghold: “Such as these comes forth by nothing except prayer and fasting”. Fasting and prayer is the master key to breakthrough every impossibility. You can breakout and breakthrough to win in life once you engage these two. These two are the believer’s greatest privileges. As we gather on Friday, it is a great door of grace to ussher everyone of us into a realm of possibilities and winning.

The path to success and God’s best is not a straight course, it is always through meadering and winding routes. Indeed many do not go far because they get discouraged by the huge task of battling odds and demons. In this message, we shall learn about God’s masterkey to breakthrough odds and demonic strongholds to win in life.

Prayer is speaking into the air with the firm believe that God will hear and answer because of the finished work of Christ. Fasting is abstaining from food and pleasures to seek the face of God. Now there are many forms of fasting; but fasting is your sacrifice to God. It is important however to offer a better and a whole sacrifice. Your sacrifice must be pleasing to God.

Prayer and fasting work better in an atmosphere of faith and due diligence; Our prayers release God to Break through all odds and impossibilities when we do what we must do. Matthew 17:17 teaches that prayer and fasting may not deliver best results in midst of unbelief and perversion. In an atmosphere of faith and due diligence, prayer and fasting rolls every stone and pull out the odds and demonic spirits.

Consider Esther, three days fasting suspended laws and delivered Israel. When Heman withstood Israel, they fasted upon the request of Esther and God answered them. Every Heman and evil person plotting your death will hang on his own gallows. As you gather to pray every last Friday, may the Lord deliver you from the schemes of evil men, in the name of Jesus Christ!

In Daniel 9, the scriptures reveal that when Daniel understood by the books, he began to pray and fast and seek the face of the Lord. Your family and community shall not be held captive. You will see the mighty hand of the Lord. You will see God bringing you out of captivity. Nothing shall hold you bound. Prayer and fasting will always deliver results; you cannot miss it.

The scriptures also tell us about Nineveh, an evil city whose sins cried out to heaven. When God sent the prophet Jonah to that city with a message of judgement. The prophet went round the city in 3 days announcing the judgement of God, but the king led the people to fast and pray, and the city was saved. Prayer and fasting are God’s master keys to breakthrough all impossibilities and odds to win. Nineveh was not a righteous city, neither were they the people of God; this was an evil city but when they fasted and prayed, God responded swiftly.

This month you can break out of all odds and demonic barriers to win.
