A yoke is a structure that is used to tie two or more beasts together, usually to cause them to move in step or unison. A yoke ties you to the partner to whose neck you are yoked. There are different types of yoke:
- An equal yoke
- An unequal yoke
Remember a yoke can be easy or cumbersome. You can only move around with ease when learning from the other partner. That is why the Bible discourages us from being unequally yoked with unbelievers. When you are yoked together with another, you must learn to work in agreement or hurt your necks or feet where you are shackled.
[Matthew 11:28-30 KJV] “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.“
Secondly, remember that men put cattle and beasts in yokes to make them both labour and bear burden. A yoke is not a fashion chain; a child of God must not be any man’s yoked servant but be yoked to Jesus Christ alone. You must strive to break every yoke of servitude that the adversary has put on you. The yoke must be broken!
I must share five simple secrets to break every evil yoke placed on you. Sometimes spiritually people cast a spell on you and turn you into a beast and drive you. Simple keys to breaking yokes are:
- Anointing (See Isaiah 10:27)
- Steadfastness (See Galatians 5:1)
- Dominion (See Genesis 27:40)
- Serving the Lord with gladness (See Deuteronomy 28:47-48)
- Prayer
