Everything we need is in the preaching of the gospel. Kingdom focus is the secret to more than enough. Those who work in the kingdom possess everything the world is chasing.

Mark 16-20 KJV

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.  

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.   

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.   

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;   

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.  

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Exhortation

We don’t need to be running after what the world is running after. God knows what we need and He will add it to us. As we focus to win souls, look! God will bless us.

Matthew 6:31–33 KJV

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?   

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.   

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I pray that God will inspire and enfire us to run and win souls. May a holy passion swallow our hearts! May we arise to travel to every city, town, village, hamlet and condor.

This is the time and now is the season; if we arise, God will go with us just as He went with the early church.

I shall discuss therefore three simple steps to church growth. These steps would guarantee that souls are added to the church daily. They are; contact, winning, and gathering.

1.Contacts:

This is the beginning of adding souls to the kingdom. It involves exposing the nations to the radical truth of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The more we get into contact with people with the gospel, the more the kingdom expands and the church grows.

2. Winning: 

Winning involves two key steps; witnessing and follow-up. After exposing the people to the truth, it is time to give a witness. After the Philippians Jailer saw the power of God on display he wanted to know how to be saved (See Acts 16:30)

The second dimension is after giving a witness is to follow up and build a relationship with the person.

We would succeed if we show interest in others rather than getting others to be interested in us. Let go out there and show interest in people. It is wisdom to focus on people of the same sex and background as ours, this would help us to bear fruits after our own kind.

3. Gathering:

This is the third step to making someone into a disciples of Christ. At this level we are trying to establish and raise others to become like us. Three or four things play a great role at succeeding at this level include; venue, time, event and programme.

With all these things in place, then comes the 7 fundamental things that makes church growth possible;

1. Faith
2. Anointing
3. Passion
4. Honour and decorum
5. Loyalty and faithfulness
6. Wisdom and aptitude
7. Attitude and ethics
