“That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,” (Titus 2:4 KJV)
Three of the things that Apostle Paul deemed profitable to be taught in church to young women are the tips on being sober, loving their own husbands, and loving their children. Young women must therefore develop skills in being sober, romantic and motherly.
Being sober is to avoid being drunk or obsessed with anything or condition. Being able to think clearly and to live free from anxiety and stress. The opposite of being sober is to be drunk; drunk people are emotional, obsessed, unrestrained, not realistic, have inflated ego, talk and act loosely. Simple secrets to being sober are;
- Refuse to be obsessed, drunk, and consumed by any desire to have or lose anything.
- Don’t believe in vanity
- Don’t compare your life with any other person
We all started life differently, from different places, times, and levels. Nobody’s life is perfect; everybody is fighting a battle you may not know about. Everyone has something others don’t have; be content with such as you have. After all, God has given us all things that pertains to life and godliness.
- In all decision making, state your problem objectively; avoid biases; evaluate options more purposefully; count the cost and remember that no condition is permanent.
- Philippians 4:6 teaches us to be anxious for nothing, but rather in all things; by prayer, supplication, with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall guard your heart.
- Finally, remember that the tempter is close by; don’t allow him to stop you. Clear your thoughts; purify your thoughts and think as God would have you.
Stay blessed; I love you.
