Today’s Reading: Genesis 1:1 – Genesis 2:4

No matter who you are, it is important to remember that you were created in the image and likeness of God to rule in the midst of His creation. You were created to rule and to have dominion over God’s creation. Sin and the lack of knowledge have robbed us of that right and ability to rule.

In any case, the Word of God tells us that those who receive the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17) The New Covenant restores us back to fellowship with God and to that place of royal priesthood. By our faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, we are restored to be kings and priests to God. We can now begin to rule and serve in the midst of God’s creation.

On this same premise, I can assure you that you can create your life as God would if you have received the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace. You can follow God’s principles of creation and begin to create your life.

Don’t let life happen to you anymore. Create your life!

1. Get a vision – In the beginning God created the heaven and earth: You must be sure you know what kind of life you want early enough. Many are unable to create the life they want because they start too late; but as it is said, it is better late than never. You must receive a clear vision for your life. Where there is no vision people perish (Proverbs 29:18). If any man therefore lacks wisdom; direction in life, let him ask. God gives direction liberally to all those who ask Him in faith (James 1:5)

2. Create the vision – God created the vision: If your vision remains in your head, it’s a fantasy. Immediately you are sure of what God wants you to do, it is time to get down to work.

3. You must be willing to start small with what you have: That is kingdom wisdom. God created the heaven and the earth, but the earth was without form. Yet, His Spirit stayed with the vision. Your life may look hopeless and bleak, Gloom may stir you in the face but continued steadfastness is key to winning. God is with you. Life will soon get better in Jesus’ name!

4. Till your own grounds: The Bible tells us that he that tills his own ground shall prosper, but he that follows vain men shall have much poverty (Proverbs 28:19) The Spirit of the Lord brooded over the face of the deep. Cultivate your own life. Stop judging others and start keeping your own vine! That is how you get better in life.

You are created in the image and the likeness of God, so arise and create as God created. Don’t shut up! Speak what you want to see, separate things with wisdom, name things rightly, call things by what they are, and make the things that need be made.
