Acts 4:23-24, 31-32 KJV — And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. [24] And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
[31] And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. [32] And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
Miracles are divine intervention and they are both real and for today. I exhort you to:
- Believe in miracles
- Fellowship with people who believe in miracles
- Surround yourself with people who believe in miracles
This is how you create an atmosphere for miracles. We all at one time or the other may need a miracle or know someone who needs a miracle. In the day of need, it’s so hard to build the faith for miracles; hence the need to build the faith for miracles before the evil day comes.
Jarius needed to believe, so that his daughter would receive a miracle. When the news broke that his daughter was dead; the Lord admonished him to only believe. Your faith in God’s miracle working power is always paramount to make things happen.
Do you remember the guy whose four friends brought him to Jesus? One day, four friends brought their sick friend to a meeting to be healed by Jesus Christ. They believe for a miracle and literally ripped off the roof just to get their sick friend to Jesus. There are times when you can only go as far as those around you can take you. You create an atmosphere for miracles by surrounding yourself with people who believe in miracles. In an atmosphere of faith miracles do happen.
Another secret to create an atmosphere for miracles around you is to fellowship with people who believe in miracles. Iron sharpens iron. God will feed us in folds and through shepherds; your faith focuses on what you hear frequently. The early apostles had a company they could return to in the day of fear, doubts, and threats. Believe, your pastor can not do this alone! Show up!
The atmosphere for miracles is an atmosphere of faith, praise, prayer, and agreement. That is why our Lord Jesus Christ in some cases will drive the people out before raising the dead.
Benediction
May the Lord strengthen your faith and bring into your life people of faith who call upon Him out of a pure heart. May you find that hiding place where your faith can be fed and miracles happen. May the Lord build our churches into havens of miracles!
Amen
