[Ephesians 6:10-12 KJV] “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour areof God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.
The Bible tells us that we wrestle against a hierachy of demonic powers. These are wicked spirits that seek to keep us down so that we cannot keep the commandment of God and the testimony of Christ. Hence the call to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We are confronted with and we must win over these demonic hosts.
These four demonic powers are:
- Principalities
- Powers
- Rulers of the darkness of this world
- Spiritual wickedness in high places
Principalities:
The principalities are principal personalities that control territories. They control whole regions, industries, territories; they are evil personalities that try to influence behaviour and lifestyles, and events to their advantage and purpose.
Powers:
Powers are spirits and persons of dominion that rule over nations, groups of power, whole industries, and sects with laws and trends and orders.
Rulers of the darkness of this world:
These are the persons and spirits that rule over the darkness of this world. There is a dark world all round us that fights the light in us. These are character modifying spirits that try to control whole sections of people.
Spiritual wickedness in high places:
Spiritual wickedness in high places are spirit and person that use magical and malivolent power to perpertuate wickedness against others. These are wickedness in high places of society. They afflict and oppress people who would not serve their purpose and will.
I exhort you to wake up because these are real evil powers that seeks to stop any man who is thinking of serving God. We must arise and resist these evil forces. We must step out and fight fiercely against these demonic powers so that the nations shall be released to come in.
