[Galatians 5:22-26 KJV] “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”
I have no doubt in my mind that we want to live above human laws. We want to live a higher life and the only secret to live a higher life is to bear the fruit of the spirit. The Scriptures teaches that those who bear the fruit of the spirit are living above human laws.
The elements of the fruit of the spirit as listed in the letter to the believers of Galatia are:
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Longsuffering
- Gentleness
- Goodness
- Faith
- Meekness
- Temperance
God is calling upon as many as want to live above human laws to desire and strive to bear the fruit of the spirit. We are stepping into a new season and we must strive to live above human laws.
This is the time to live authentic and genuine Christian lives without pretense. We must provoke one another to good works. We ought to strive to win and flourish in the courts of our God.
