[Isaiah 57:14 KJV] “and shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.”
I want to speak briefly on the barriers to fulfilling destiny. It is important to emphasise that many barriers are attempting to stop each of us; prominent amongst them are:
1. Ignorance of the goal and mark of the calling:
If you don’t know what is expected of you, it is going to be almost impossible to attain it. Many people are running so fast in the wrong direction; yet patting themselves on the back for good work done when they are failing woefully. Strive to know the goal, destiny, and mark!
2. Generational curses:
Generational curses have stopped many people more than you think. Biblical examples include people like Reuben, Simeon and Levi, Ham and Canaan.
3. Phlegmatism:
Many have failed to fulfil their destiny because they are too laid back. They are not pushing enough; they are too laid back.
4. Witchcraft:
Witchcraft, evil bondage, demonic caging, young and tying down
5. Association, network, and environment:
Abraham needed to move from Ur, Naomi needed to come back to Bethlehem, Lot needed to move away from Sodom and Gomorrah; even Jesus needed to move from Nazareth (See Psalm 1)
6. Hypocrisy:
You will never arrive when you find or devise creative ways to give the impression of progress.
7. Demonic contamination and possession
8. Sin that dwells within
May the Lord give each of us the wisdom to discover ad surmount these barriers. You will come out in the name of Jesus Christ!
