[James 2:20-26 KJV] “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?”
“Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”
“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.“
We have been discussing how to become all that we are designed for, and it is important to understand that there is profit in all labour, hence only those who take action on their revelation achieve results. You must arise and act on your faith if you want to amount to anything; faith without works is dead.
In fact, the Bible teaches that any man who has faith and does not add works to his faith is a vain man. I know we all want to see results and we must be willing to step out in faith and grab our results. We must arise to take action. It’s time to take positive steps towards your goals.
Everything begins with a step, a carefully thought through step; a step in faith!
- Prepare: Many of us have failed and many more are struggling because we started out at the time when we ought to be preparing. Every man that knows his master’s will, must prepare himself. Preparation is important, extremely important!
- Pray and seek the peace of the city where live, work and conduct your business. In her peace you will find peace. Pray for the city and love the prosperity of the city.
- Pray for all men and people in authority in your city, that you will have peace to operate as godly persons
- Set SMART and set godly goals: Goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound. Set goals to guide your actions.
- List all the possible ways to arrive at the goal: There are so many ways of going about the same but there is only one way which is most suitable for you.
- Match your available resources to the possible ways to arrive at the goal: Start with what you have at the place you are.
- Select the most workable strategy and pursue with grace and Start with what you have and where you are, and with whoever can help; but think global.
God can only multiply what you touch, be up and take the first step and you will go far.
Stay blessed!
