Are you a Christian? Are you off age? Are you maturing? Then there is nothing to be afraid of, fall in love and marry anyone you want, but in the Lord.
While you do, there are a few things you need to pay attention to;
1. It takes more than love to stay in a marriage:
Love is nice, love is sweet, love is good; but it takes more than love to marry and stay married. Inasmuch as love makes your marriage exciting, it will takes more than love to make a marriage work.
2. Marriage requires consent and submission:
As our anchor text clearly states, the women must be willing to marry and marry out of free will. Forced marriages are ungodly. Every Christian marriage must be free will and with the consent of the woman.
3. Working marriages work because the couples are working it:
All working marriage are between couples who are committed to working to see it work. They work both to pay bills and to stay married. If you leave your marriage to chance, your marriage will not work. You must work on your marriage to make the marriage work.
4. While you plan to fall in love, remember that every man promises of his unfailing love, but there is only on faithful man among a thousand:
Remember that every man will promise of his unfailing love. Every man will talk about being true, but it behooves on you to establish who is truly faithful.
5. While you fall in love, remember that the devil also comes to church, so do due diligence:
When the sons of God gathered, the devil also came. The fact that you met someone in church does not mean they are in the Lord. Pray about your decision, seek counsel and don’t be trapped. You will not make a mistake, but remember this.
6. Just marry, don’t date, dont have sex until you are fully married:
Until, he puts a ring on it, don’t let him enter in there. Premarital and extramarital sex is sin and God is displeased with it. You will be fooled if you start having sex while dating. “Almost’ cannot kill a bird; get fully married before you jump into bed with anyone.
