“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?” (Isaiah 58:6-7 KJV)
In this last week in June we shall be ministering to the Lord in fasting, prayer and praise. I pray that you will join in with us.
Remember the fast appointed by the is a day for us to undo every wickedness, to undo heavy burdens and let the oppressed go free. The last thing God expects in a day of fast is to pray dangerous prayers of wickedness. The day of fast is a day to give your bread to the hungry, to shelter the poor, to and cloth the naked.
Why should you join this mid-year fast? The benefits are enormous; merely joining the fast guarantees that great blessings.
Vision, health, favour, and defence:
Your light shall break forth as the morning; your health shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness shall go before you, and the glory of God shall be your rereward. Whether you pray or not these 4 benefits shall be yours. Isaiah 58:8-14 teaches many great benefits in fasting as the Lord has appointed.
Open Heaven:
The Heavens shall be opened to your prayer and cry; especially when you deal with your iniquities. Fasting opens the heavens and release answers for participants. May Heaven be opened to your prayers! May your light break forth as the morning!
Influence:
Your light shall rise from obscurity; you shall never know darkness. The Lord will cause you to shine. (Isaiah 58:10)
Divine Guidance:
God will guide you continually; He will lead you to greener pastures.
Divine supply and satisfaction:
Merely joining the fast ensures that God will satisfy your soul in drought, and make your bones fat; “You shall be like a watered garden and as springs of water that never run dry.” (Isaiah 58:11)
