[Hebrews 12:1-4 KJV] “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us , and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. [3] For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. [4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin”.
We know that the purpose of God is to save and translate all men from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His Son, that we might serve Him to our full potential.
There are many evil forces that are trying to keep you from ever leaving the kingdom of darkness or ever serving God with your full potential. These evil forces do not want you to leave or ever serve God; even if you would, they do not want you to go far or all out. Yet, you must go all out for God.
These evil forces however do not work in vacuum. They work through demons, authorities and people or things you love, negative attitudes and complexes, habits and addictions, social norms and patterns, elements of nature, and conspiracy of nations and kings contrary to your destiny and prosperity.
The devil, through these enumerated doors, tries to place limits on you. They try to impede your speed through manipulations and fear, but in every demonic limit must be broken.
The simple keys to finish your course without stress or becoming weary in your mind, and to resist unto blood are simple;
1. Remember you are being watched;
Matthew 5:14-16 teaches that we are the light of the world and a city set on a hill. It is therefore important to remember that we cannot be hidden. We should therefore strive to let our lights shine, that men may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
2. Lay aside every weight and sin that so easily beset you;
Almost every one of us may have one or two weights or sins that so easily beset us. We must have the courage and discipline to lay them aside. It may not be that easy, but we must resist unto blood. We must resist with all that is in us.
3. Run the race before us with patience;
Every man and every church or every nation is running their specific race. There are things, policies or projects that may work for one man, or church or nation which may not work for another. You must know your specific race that is set before you.
Habakkuk 2 teaches that you must discover your own race and run it. Don’t compare yourself with he that is in a haste to succeed and shed blood and cut corners to succeed. Neither be discouraged because the vision delays in speaking for itself. The vision may tarry but cannot fail.
4. Look unto Jesus;
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith and we must wait on Him.
You can finish your course without stress or weariness of mind. You will make it without fail. Run with patience and resist even unto blood
Be blessed!
