Go Home to Your Family and Tell them all …

“​Jesus did not let him [come], but [instead] He said to him, “Go home to your family and tell them all the great things that the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.” (Mark 5:19 AMP)

Reading: Mark 5:1-20

God wants to save the world by our preaching of the cross; we are the witnesses of this truth. A witness must have an experience; a witness who does not have an experience is a false witness. Every witness has an experience, or must have had an experience.

In view of this, whenever we have an encounter with Jesus Christ, He focuses on liberating us from the things that hold and try to control us in captivity. The demoniac of Gadara was held and controlled by unclean spirits. In his encounter with the Lord, he was touched with power and liberated. Believe God to touch you with power as you read this devotional . The same Jesus who touched the man of Gadara will touch you with His power.

God wants to liberate and bless you so that you can testify to the rest of the world around you. The Lord liberated and empowered the man of Gadara to be able to reach 10 cities. If a man without a Bible school training reached 10 cities, I can do no less. It’s time for a real encounter with the Lord that would so liberate and empower us to publish the news of God’s mercy.

If you are a Christian, you must preach the gospel,  your first responsibility is to your family. God has a purpose to save the world and we have a role to play. The world must be redeemed from the pain of the present and we are the agents of change and messengers of redemption.

If you have had an encounter with the Lord that liberated and empowered you; you must tell people around you. You must publish the news. When the Lord healed the man who was buffeted by demons, He sent him back to his family. You are a messenger to your family. We must revive the culture of sharing the Word of God with our families. We are sent as messengers to our families, as you share the word of God with your family may the power of God be made available to liberate them.

Go tell them! Go share the word with them. Go and announce to your family what things God has done for you. We must testify that God has had mercy on us. Our families must know that the grace and mercy of God has found and empowered us. This how to influence the families of the earth with light.

Receive the grace and ability to share your testimony and faith with your family. Every wicked power plaguing your life is losing its hold. God will give you a testimony. You will have stories of triumph to share. The Lord will keep and sustain you. You will make impact in Jesus name.
