“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
“And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” (Luke 1:26-38 KJV)
“Be it unto me according to your word” Hallelujah, “according to your word”, I love that phrase. May it be unto according to His word. Simply put, I shall do according to the word. I shall yield to whatever the word shall do unto me or where ever the word shall turn me to.
Indeed, there are times when the prophetic word to us does not make sense, but almost sounds like a lie. How can an angel tell a girl that has not known a man that you shall give birth in 40 weeks, as though it would be by bluetooth? But glory be to God, He has technology that’s more powerful than bluetooth; the ‘obey-the-word’technology.
My prophecy may not make sense but if you can obey the word, you will be productive, fruitful, and prosper. We have learnt in Isaiah 60 that if you shall obey the voice and word of God, a little one shall become a thousand and a small one shall become a strong nation. The word came saying “Arise, shine..“, all you need to do is to obey the word.
Stop asking how shall it be. And start yielding and meditating on the word. After her own experience, Mary became a coach on how to recieve miracles later on at a wedding in Cana. She taught the servants how to recieve miracles, she said “whatever He tells you to do, do it; even if it does not make sense. This year somebody shall obey-the-word! Shout-amen-to-that!
I tell you that this is the same word that became flesh and dwelt among men; this same word is full of grace and truth. Those who recieve the word that we share also recieve grace and truth. Truth that sets you free and grace that empowers you for exploits. The word you are hearing now is full of grace and truth. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 KJV)
All you need is the word; the mystery to doubling and increasing is in two things: grace and truth.
Grace: God’s unmerited favour! In fact, grace is the help or gift of God that compensate for the weaknesses, limitation, and short falls of mortal men.
Truth: God’s reality! Truth is what God sees as real. Truth is not based on your perception but on God’s reality. “Let all men be liars and let God be true.”
The prophecy may seem impossible; it may look like it won’t happen; but as you yield to the word and voice of God, you recieve grace and truth for life. Mary yielded and it happened for her, you would yield and it will happen for you. Don’t go through 2018, taking life as usual. Every word that has been spoken over us shall be fulfilled as long as we are willing to recieve grace and truth from the word.
Stay blessed; I love you.
Hallelujah
