[Philippians 4:4-7 KJV] “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. [5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. [6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.
We all know that times of crisis are not normal times and the main features are fatigue and fear. There are many things that happen and try to steal your peace and rest. We can all use some helpful tips to beat the fatigue and fear, the pain and the panic. So what is the godly wisdom to stay mentally safe and healthy as we all deal with this beast?
1. Stay positive:
The first thing you may do to preserve and protect your heart and mind is to stay positive. You must put on your praise and stay joyful. Always find a reason to be thankful and joyful. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Focus on the promises and not on the facts. The facts may be accurate but the “promises are yea and amen”. He has promised to heal us and not put any disease upon us. That is the promise. He has promised that no plague shall come near our dwelling. The secret to better mental health is to stay positive.
2. Be moderate:
Be frugal, be moderate! “Let your moderation be made known to all men”. Be frugal, don’t be thrifty with your resources! Don’t expect too much from life and others. Remember that everyone is battling with something. Inasmuch as you expect someone to care, you must also be there to care about others. Try your best to maximize all resources. Don’t allow your mind and heart to expect so much from life. Be frugal!
3. Don’t panic:
The third key to staying sane and safe is to “be anxious for nothing”. Indeed, in all things, keep hoping, keep trusting, keep remembering that anxiety has never solved any problem. No man has been able to turn one of his black hair to white, nor white to hair black. Your anxiety and panic will solve nothing.
4. Never cease praying:
In all things, instead of panicking and being anxious; let your request be made known unto God by prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. Your prayer avails much. Your prayer will make great power available. You will not fail! Let us keep praying and God will sustain us in times like this.
The Bible says when we do this four things, “the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will protect and keep our hearts”. I pray that with these four keys you shall maintain sanity and peace as you stay safe and healthy.
Be blessed, I love you!
