[Romans 10:17 NLT] “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.”
The only and most effective secret to live and increase in difficult times is to live and walk by faith. Faith is that spiritual mystery that leads to effective impact with God. Grace is available but is accessed through faith. This is the time to build faith and increase Grace.
To build grace;
- Sit at a place you can hear the uncompromising word òf God. Most often than not, we are selective hearers. We shut out teachers who don’t say what we want to hear. We look for teachers we want to listen to. You can never hear the word of God when you walk in the counsel of the ungodly or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of the scornful. That is why Apostle Paul separated the disciples from those who were hardened.
- Get your pens, Bibles, and books ready. It is important to get your pen ready. One instruction God gave all prophets was for them to write what they see or hear. Writing prophecy and revelation is a normal thing to do. You must learn to write down what He tells you (See Habbakuk 2:1-4)
- Listen with an open mind like the Berean Church. You can build your faith if you listen with an open mind. Sometimes, we are unable to grow our faith because we don’t listen with an open mind. We are narrow-minded and cannot receive things that sound different (See Acts 17:10-13)
- Search the Scriptures as the people of Bereans did. The Bible requires that we prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. Your reference is the word of God. If I or any man says anything contrary to the doctrine of the Bible ignore it.
- Lay apart superfluity of naughtiness and listen with meekness the engrafted word. Many people listen but are unable to build faith because they are both naughty and arrogant. We build faith when we learn to be meek and to receive the word (See James 1:19-21)
- Say amen at the saying of blessing. The simple secret to receiving blessing is to say amen. When God speaks the church must say amen. This is the time to observe some spiritual protocols. This is the time (See 1 Corinthians 14)
- Fix your gaze on the preacher as did the lame man at Lystra. Sometimes when you make the preacher know that you are soaking in the word, he speaks specifically to your case. This is the time to connect with your man of God.
- Turn every faith to prayer. Turn everything you read about into prayer. Pray Until you get results that turn your life around.
Stay blessed
